Isam Hasenin

Isam Hasenin is the director for San Francisco's Department of Building Inspection.
From 2002 to 2007 Isam Hasenin was San Diego's chief building officer. He was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as Local Building Official Vice Chair of the California Building Standards Commission on 3/18/04. His term expires on 1/1/08. The commission is charged with adopting and implementing state building codes.[1]
Hasenin is a Republican.[2]

Created and directed the new Division of Building Safety and Construction Permits. Shifted the department to a “fee for service” approach rather than the “valuation” method
Implemented an expedited process reviews for a fee and an expedited approval program for affordable & sustainable housing projects
